Worcestershire has six Local Planning Authorities — Worcester City, Wychavon, Malvern Hills, Bromsgrove, Redditch, and Wyre Forest — each with its own Local Plan policies on sustainability and energy efficiency. SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure) is the government-approved method for calculating the energy performance of new build dwellings. It is required at Design Stage to demonstrate compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations, and again at As-Built stage before an EPC can be issued and Building Control sign-off achieved.

Design Stage SAP
We model the dwelling against Part L 2021. If the spec doesn't pass, we identify the cheapest changes — better windows, lower U-values, PV, ASHP — to get DER ≤ TER without rebuilding the design.

Build & test
On site, your specifications must match the SAP inputs. We coordinate the air tightness test result and any changes to specification before generating the As-Built SAP.

EPC & sign-off
Final SAP run produces the EPC. We lodge directly to the EPC register and provide all documentation required by Worcestershire Building Control teams. Ready for completion.
